An Unexpected Family – Story from a Slum is a feature length documentary from filmmaker Riyad Barmania. It chronicles the story of Hanne, a woman who came to Nairobi as a safari tourist and stayed to found an orphanage in the city’s largest slum.
The title displayed here was designed by Alan Morse and Riyad Barmania for the documentary and forms the basis for all the films titles and graphics.

Combining live action, 2 and 3D animation, hand drawn illustration and visual effects the sequence even includes a Grange Hill sausage infected with Ridley Scott’s alien!
